Blackwater Basilisks Rugby Club
Fielding U8, U10 and U12 sides, Blackwater Basilisks roared into the Central Highlands Junior Competition in 2020. Blackwater Junior Basilisks are affiliated with the Senior Basilisks Club.

capella cattledogs Rugby Club
Capella will field U8, U10 and U12 teams into the Central Highlands Junior Competition in 2024. Junior Cattledogs are affiliated with the Senior Capella Cattledogs Rugby Union Club.

Central Highlands Titans Girls
A force to be reckoned with, in 2024 the CH Titans will field U13, U15 and U17 girls teams in the Mackay and Region Extreme Excavators Girls Competition as well as competing in invitational competitions throughout the year.

Nogoa Red Claws
This year the teenage boys will field U13, U15 and U17 teams for the Nogoa Red Claws playing in the Capricornia Competition. For the U8s, U10s and U12s, depending on numbers, the Club field up to two teams in each age division of the Central Highlands competition: Nogoa Red Claws and Nogoa Black Claws.

Rolleston Joeys
Foundational junior club, the Rolleston Joeys bring spirit, speed and stamina to each game. The Joeys field U8, U10 and U12 teams in the Central Highlands competition.

New Clubs Welcome
CHJRU offers incentives and support to encourage new clubs join the Central Highlands competition.
These include:
- $500 cash payment for new clubs to assist with jerseys and establishment, plus all Clubs receive $10 payment per registered player each season
- High quality, subsidised or free skills training and workshops for players, coaches and volunteers
- Administrative and registrar support to new Club Coordinators
- Opportunity to request assistance with bus travel if required.
We also offer the opportunity in the Central Highlands Junior Competition for combined Barbarian sides to play, guaranteeing game time for kids even when teams may be short a few players.
